This article addresses the effects of ICT on the location of office activities, presenting empirical results as well as some theoretical considerations. The main data source used for this purpose is a survey among office firms employing 50 or more workers (sample size 263 responding firms). The effect of ICT infrastructure on location choice of offices by firms, based on the survey, is investigated, bearing in mind the differences between front offices and back offices, resulting in an analysis of the suitability of various types of locations for front and back offices.
